Welcome to the home page of CLAN DESTINY, the roughest, toughest, nicest and kindest clan of online Nerf ArenaBlast players! This is our home page. If you are a CD member, make sure you get the password to access our special hidden page, to be seen only by us, for special tips and tactics! This password has been changed. If you don't have it, e-mail me right away! |
CLAN DESTINY ROSTER - LATEST UPDATE |
Clan Destiny was formed in June 2000 by Spike. Besides Spike, other early members included Custer, FeEdiKo, Maximus, Diablo, and Thunderbird. The first four were all members of the then-disbanding Royal Clan, if generally only for that clan's final weeks...or days. Spike and most of the rest moved on, leaving me, Custer, in charge - in June of the following year, 2001, we persuaded Spike to return for a while, but after a few months he moved on again. CD is now definitely the longest- lived major NAB clan, with a good reputation....let's keep it that way, yes?
New members are welcome. You do not have to be a complete, 40,000-points per arena Nerf ace to join us, though you may have to demonstrate a certain level of ability (though see lower down). When you join, you will be asked to add the clan initials to your online player-name, so that if you play as Fred you will now become Fred(CD) (without a space before the brackets). Generally, we encourage you to adopt one of the Tycoon team avatars - Justin, William, Todd, or Hope, though if you have been playing as another avatar for a long time, you are allowed to continue to do so, except in an actual clan battle or similar event. You should also be prepared to give us an e-mail address at which you can be contacted; you may want to set up a "hotmail" or similar address in your player name, for simplicity. Remember that web-based e-mail accounts such as Hotmail can sometimes be unable to take e-mail attachments the size of map downloads, which can easily be 1000KB or more, however. But speak to me (Custer), or another member, online, though if they are concentrating on a particularly close-fought game, you may have to wait until the end of the arena before getting much sense from them!

CLAN RULES - OKAY?
No arbitrary expulsions of clan members: while senior clan officers can give warnings for bad behaviour and breaches of rules online, it is not possible to expel CD members from the clan by announcing sudden back-dated rule changes, or on a personal whim. No expulsion is valid until it has been discussed by senior clan members, and published on this site.
No swearing online: while even the youngest players know the words, it is always possible that a junior brother or sister is watching, or a parent is "just checking up" on a player. Besides, it isn't cool.
No using another player's identity: this causes great trouble, and anybody doing this persistently will be expelled from the clan - and other clan leaders informed. Anybody who finds out that somebody else has been using their name online should report it straight away. It is however okay to play using another identity, provided that only you use that identity and that you give your CD-member player priority in any team-up battles. Unless you have a special reason, that second identity should not enrol as a separate member of CD; if there is a good reason, you must tell the clan leader what you are doing.
Respect for other clans and their leaders: except in special circumstances, follow the instructions of other main clan leaders as you would your own. Do not say how bad, awful or nasty other clans are... they hate to be reminded of this.
Don't "pick on" or "tease" other players: whether they are in CD or not, do not make jokes at another player's expense, or try to make yourself look big by making somebody else look small. It may be a joke to you, but could really upset the "victim". We want a reputation as a friendly clan, right?
Multiple clan membership: NAB players who are in one or more other clans as well as CD cannot join the Security Section.
Leadership: the leader of the clan should have the confidence of the clan officers and members that he is acting in the best interests of the clan, and that any other NAB interests he has do not conflict with the running of Clan Destiny in its usual manner.
Those are what we have thought up so far; suggestions and feedback are encouraged, okay? And we have followed general clan procedure by making this page an e-mail link page for all members (unless you have any special reasons otherwise), so please e-mail me with your e-mail address if I don't give it yet. Some members haven't been seen online for a while at the times that most of us are on, so do get in touch or we may drop you from the list, at least until you do get in touch! This site is maintained by me, so let me know about signings and resignations, e-mail address changes, and anything that ought to go on the CD pages here, open or hidden. - Custer |
